Hebrews 10:24-25
(NLT)
24
Let us think of ways to motivate one another
to acts of love and good works. 25 And let us not neglect our
meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another,
especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.

“TAKE
IT TO GO”
I.
INSTRUCTIONS “TO GO”
Luke
10:2-3
(NLT)
2
These were his instructions to them: “The harvest is great, but the
workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the
harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields. 3
Now go, and remember that I
am sending you out as lambs among wolves.
Matthew
28:18-20
(NLT)
18
Jesus came and told His disciples, “I have been given complete
authority in heaven and on earth, 19Therefore,
go and make disciples of all
nations baptizing them in the name of the Father and Son and the
Holy Spirit. 20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the
commands I have given you. And be sure of this:
I am with you always, even to the
end of the age.”
Luke
9:60 (NLT)
60
But Jesus told him, “Let the spiritually dead bury their own dead!
Your duty is to go and
preach about the Kingdom of God.”
II.
INSTRUCTIONS ON
PREPARATION “TO GO”
2 Timothy 4;5 (NLT)
4
But you should
keep a
clear mind
in every situation. Don’t be afraid of suffering for the Lord.
Work at
telling others the Good News,
and fully carry out the ministry God has given you.
Luke 10:5-6
(NLT)
5
“Whenever you enter someone’s home, first say, ‘May
God’s peace be on this house.’ 6 If those who live
there are peaceful, the blessing will stand; if they are not,
the blessing will return to you.
III.
INSTRUCTION ON “TO GO” RESPONSES
Luke 9:23-25
(NLT)
23
Then he said to the crowd, “If any of you wants to be my follower,
you must turn from your selfish ways,
take up your cross daily, and follow me. 24 If you try to
hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life
for my sake, you will save it. 25 And what do you benefit if
you gain the whole world but are yourself lost or destroyed?
Luke
10:16
(NLT)
16
Then he said to the disciples, “Anyone who accepts your message is
also accepting me. And anyone who rejects you is rejecting me. And
anyone who rejects me is rejecting God, who sent me.”

DISCUSSION ON
METHODS “TO GO”
Luke
5:37-39
(NLT)
37
“And no one puts new wine into old wineskins. For the new wine would
burst the wineskins, spilling the wine and ruining the skins. 38
New wine must be stored in new wineskins. 39 But no one who
drinks the old wine seems to want the new wine. ‘The old is just
fine,’ they say.”
****Wineskins were goatskins sewn together at the edges to form
watertight bags. Because new wineskins expand as it ages, it had to
be put in new, pliable wineskins. A used wineskin having become more
rigid would burst and spill the wine. Like old wineskins the
Pharisees were too rigid to accept Jesus, who could not be contained
in their traditions or rules. Christianity required new
approaches, new traditions, new structures. Our church programs
and ministries should not be so structured that they have no room
for a fresh touch of the spirit, a new method or a new idea. We too
must be careful that our heart does not become so rigid that it
prevents us from accepting new ways of thinking that Christ brings.
We need to keep our hearts pliable so that we can accept Jesus’ life
changing message.

Discussion: Think of unique methods and ways God may use us “TO GO”
Philippians 4:4-9
(Reminder: Upgrade from reading each verse - to – practice praying
through each verse)
4
Always be full of joy in the Lord.
I say it again—rejoice! 5 Let everyone see
that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming
soon.
6
Don’t worry about anything;
instead,
pray about everything.
Tell
God what you need,
and
thank him for
all he has
done.
7 Then you will experience God’s peace,
which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your
hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
8
And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing.
Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and
pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are
excellent and worthy of praise.
9
Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything
you heard from me and saw me doing.
Then the God of peace will be with you.
A FINAL WORD
Putting on Armor for identifying counterfeits and being protected
from the evil one
(Reminder: Upgrade from reading each verse - to – practice praying
through each verse)
Ephesians
6:10-18
(NLT)
10
A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
11
Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm
against all strategies of the devil.
12
For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against
evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty
powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly
places. 13
Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to
resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will
still be standing firm.
14
Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor
of God’s righteousness.
15
For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that
you will be fully prepared.
16
In addition to all of these, hold up
the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil.
17
Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit,
which is the word of God.
18
Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert
and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.

"What need have I of all your sacrifices?"
Says the Lord.
"I am
sated with burnt offerings of rams,
And suet of Fatlings, and blood of bulls;
and I have no delight in lambs and he-goats.12
That you come to appear before Me - who
asked that of you? Trample My courts 13
no more; bringing oblations is futile,
incense is offensive to Me. New moon and
Sabbath, proclaiming of solemnities,
assemblies with iniquity, I cannot abide.
14
Your new moons and fixed seasons fill Me
with loathing; They are become a burden to
Me. I cannot endure them.
|
11
I am sick of your sacrifices"
says the Lord. "Don't bring
me any more burnt offerings! I don't
want the fat from your rams or other
animals. I don't want to see the blood from
your offerings of bulls and rams and goats.12
Why do you keep parading through my courts
with you worthless sacrifices?
13 The incense you bring me is a stench in my nostrils!
Your celebrations of the new moon and the
Sabbath day, and your special days for
fasting - even your most pious meetings -
are all sinful and false. I want nothing
more to do with them. 14 I hate all
your festivals and sacrifices, I cannot
stand the sight of them! |
4
For it is not possible for the blood of
bulls and goats to take away sins. 5
That is
why Christ, when he came into the world,
said, "You did not want animal sacrifices
and grain offerings. But you have
given me a body so that I may obey you.
6 No,
you were not pleased with animals burned on
the alter or with other offerings for sin. 7
Then I said,
'Look, I have come to do your will, O God -
just as it is written about me in the
Scriptures.'" |

Hosea 6:6

Hosea 6:6
(NLT) |
Hebrews 10:8-9
(NLT) |
|
For I desire goodness,
not
sacrifice; Obedience to God, rather than
burnt offerings.
|
I want you to be merciful;
I don't
want your sacrifices. I want you to know
God; that's more important than burnt
offerings. |
8
Christ said, "You did not want animal
sacrifices or grain offerings or animals
burned on the altar or other offerings for
sin, nor were you pleased with them" (though
they are required by the law of Moses). 9
Then he added,
"Look, I have come to do your will."
He cancels the first covenant in order to
establish the second. and what
God wants
is for us to be made holy by the sacrifice
of the body of Jesus Christ once for all
time. |

7b
You gave me to understand that you do not desire
sacrifice and meal offering;
You do not ask for
burnt offering and sin offering. 8 Then I
said, "See I will bring a scroll recounting what befell
me. 9 To do
what pleases you , my God, is my desire;
Your teaching is in my innermost parts. |
6
You take no delight in sacrifices or offerings. Now that
you have made me listen, I finally understand --
You don't require
burnt offerings or sin offerings
7b
Then I said, "Look I have come. And this has been
written about me in your scroll; 8
I Take joy in doing
your will my God, for your law is written on my heart." |
18
Now when sins have been forgiven, there is no need to
offer any more sacrifices
|
|
Psalms 51:18-19 (Tanakh) |
Psalms 51:16-17 |
|
|
18
You do not want me to
bring sacrifices; You do not desire burnt offering;19
True sacrifices to God is a contrite spirit; God you
will not despise a contrite and crushed heart.(? 21) |
16
You would not be pleased with sacrifices, or I would
bring them. If I brought you burnt a offering, you would
not accept it.
17 The sacrifice you want is a broken
spirit. A broken and repentant heart, O God, you will
not despise. |
